Houlton School – open for new students

The masts of Rugby Radio station are a well-known landmark in the Midlands with the 820ft masts enabling the UK to be a world leader in telecommunications in the early 20th century.
In 1927 we spoke to America across the airwaves for the first time – from Rugby – to a receiving station called Houlton!
Now, the listed Radio Station has been incorporated into a school fit for the 21st century, yet proudly acknowledging its historic past. Houlton School, siting within a new housing development, opened for its first intake of pupils in September 2021
