North Quay House
Following the sad demise of ISG, Pacegrade delivered the façades for a prestigious regional head office on Bristol’s waterfront.
Originally a five-storey, 25,000 sq ft office building, North Quay House has been extensively remodelled and expanded with a new four-storey extension. This has introduced a striking double-height reception area and significantly enhanced the building’s capacity and functionality. The refurbishment aligns with British Council for Offices (BCO) standards, delivering high quality modern office accommodation designed to meet the evolving needs of contemporary businesses.
The scheme represents a high-impact retrofit that reduces carbon emissions while creating a healthier, more productive workplace. North Quay House is part of Neighbourhood—a phased redevelopment by Legal & General to deliver sustainable, amenity-rich offices designed for the future of hybrid working. The first building completed in early 2024, with the second currently in planning.
A strong emphasis has been placed on sustainability and user wellbeing throughout the project, the upgraded facilities include communal cycle storage, showers, changing rooms, and wellness amenities accessible to all building users. The design also prioritises both embodied and operational carbon reduction and embraces circular economy principles, integrating renewable energy technologies, and supporting active travel through thoughtfully designed infrastructure.
