White Eagle Lodge

Situated in a stunning setting in the South Downs National Park, and commissioned by a spiritual organisation founded in 1936, the White Eagle Lodge complex has been conceived as a composition of orthogonal pavilions unified by a cloistered walkway, facing onto an open central courtyard.

Our work:

Pacegrade worked with Beard Construction on the delivery of this wonderful community amenity, a place of calm and meditation. This included the implementation of a sophisticated geometrical roof with 48 timber beams, each taking the load down to a spherical precast structure of four spectacular arches, and finished with ash veneer panelling.
