New Cambridge Mosque

An eco-friendly British mosque for the 21st century.

Our work: A CDM contract to design, supply and install the glazed facade through the timber structure provided by Blumer Lehmann separating the outside covered terrace area and the inner halls. The project presented a complicated interface with ornate timber structure through which airtightness was a key requirement. The solution was to provide a structurally glazed curtain wall incorporating the Raico Therm+ SG option with Spruce internal sections to complement the timber structure internally and structural glazing externally to not detract from the timber formations. To reduce additional sight lines on the façade Pacegrade chose to use Shueco Frameless ADI 65 SG doors with the curtain wall structure.
